Aulani Disney Resort & Spa is a stay-type resort facility created by Disney.

Although it is not Disneyland, I think it is a supremely fun hotel for those who love the Disney atmosphere!

It is also very Hawaiian to see Mickey and other Disney characters wearing Aloha shirts.

Even if you are not staying overnight, you can visit the restaurants, buy souvenirs, and swim in the lagoon, enjoying it almost as much as guests, so visiting for a day trip is one option!

You cannot enter the pool unless you are staying there, but you can still fully enjoy the Hawaii resort and Disney atmosphere.

Kalepa Store at Aulani Disney Resort & Spa

The Disney goods specialty shop, Kalepa Store, is available for use even by non-guests.

There are many Hawaii limited edition items that are hard to get elsewhere, so they might be perfect for souvenirs!

Popular characters are all here, including the Aulani exclusive turtle character Olu Mel, Duffy wearing an Aloha shirt, and ShellieMay in a Muumuu.

By the way, Duffy is wearing an Aloha shirt from the high-end Hawaii brand Tori Richard, so it has quite a luxurious feel.

Of course, they also sell Mickey, Minnie, and Stitch goods, and there is a huge variety including keychains, eco-bags, mugs, headbands, cookies, and more!

You might get overwhelmed by the many limited items, but I think it is well worth visiting just for the shopping.

Makahiki at Aulani Disney Resort & Spa

Makahiki is a popular restaurant for the Disney Character Breakfast.

It comes with the perk of being able to take photos with Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie after your meal.

You can eat breakfast, take commemorative photos, and then play at the hotel or lagoon afterwards, so it is almost the same as staying there.

By the way, reservations are required for breakfast and walk-ins are not accepted, so please make sure to book in advance.

The meal is buffet style, and the menu changes daily, so it is something to look forward to when you go!

Similar services exist at other Disney parks, and many people have the impression that reservations are extremely difficult to get.

In Hawaii, there are many cases where you can get a reservation even the day before as long as it is not high season.

The Lagoons at Aulani Disney Resort & Spa

The Ko Olina area where the hotel is located was once used as a retreat for royalty, so you can feel a relaxed atmosphere typical of Hawaii.

The area near the lagoon has beautiful grass and highly transparent ocean water, creating a picture-perfect resort area.

There are a total of four lagoons in Ko Olina, including the one behind Aulani, and each has different characteristics allowing for different ways to play.

The ocean has no waves and is safe, combined with the Hawaiian atmosphere, making it the best beach for relaxing with children.

There are supermarkets like ABC Stores nearby, so it might be a nice plan to buy a bento lunch and spend the day relaxing at the lagoon!

The Pool at Aulani Disney Resort & Spa

The pool exclusive to hotel guests is undoubtedly the largest scale in Hawaii.

It has a pool with a scale comparable to a water park, and many people stay at the hotel just to play here.

There are enough varieties, such as a lazy river and a pool where many fish are swimming, that you will not get bored even if you play all day.

Playing leisurely in the pool amidst an atmosphere full of resort vibes is the ultimate luxury!
