The Soap Factory is a soap-making facility located in the Waialua district of the North Shore.
Housed on the site of a former sugar mill and surrounded by nature, the shop has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.
You might recognize its distinctive cone-shaped building, as it has been featured frequently in the media!
In particular, it’s a must-visit spot on the Hawaii specials of the popular Japanese comedy show “Moya Moya Sama’azu,” and has now become a famous tourist attraction.
Their soaps, which fill the room with a tropical Hawaiian fragrance, make for perfect souvenirs, so be sure to pick some up!
The Soap Factory’s Organic Soaps

Inside the shop, you’ll find countless colorful soaps neatly arranged on display.
They all smell wonderful, and because they are original, handmade soaps made with all-natural ingredients, they have many fans among both tourists and locals.
With over 20 scents available, including plumeria, mango, coconut, pineapple, and papaya, you’re sure to find a favorite!
What’s also fun is that you can customize the soaps you buy by stamping them with designs like turtles or flowers, making them a unique souvenir.
By the way, the trick to getting a good stamp is to press down firmly and vertically from above!
You can also watch the soap-making process through a glass window from inside the shop, giving it the feel of a small factory tour.
In addition to soaps, they offer many other popular products like lip balms, body creams, and bath salts, all of which are guaranteed to be well-received as souvenirs.
