While items popular with tourists often sell out quickly in Waikiki or at Ala Moana Center, you’ll often find that smaller sizes are still in stock at Pearlridge Center!
It’s a shopping mall with a very American atmosphere, so it can be a fun excursion to experience something different from the usual tourist spots.
Recommended Shops at Pearlridge Center
While not quite as large as Ala Moana Center, Pearlridge Center still boasts a wide variety of shops.
Think of it as an Ala Moana Center, just without the high-end luxury brands.
A fantastic feature is that all the shops are indoors, making it a perfect destination even on a rainy day!
Furthermore, it’s not overly crowded, yet it’s well-equipped with amenities like a food court and plenty of benches.
Being able to shop while taking breaks comfortably feels like a huge advantage.
You’ll find a variety of stores, from popular budget-friendly shops like Forever 21 and Hollister, to department stores like Macy’s and Sears, and off-price retailers like T.J. Maxx and Ross Dress for Less!
Uptown primarily features shops geared towards women, while Downtown has more stores for men.
For families, you can even keep the kids happy by taking a few rides on the monorail (Skycab). Haha.
It costs a small fee for adults, but children ride for free, making it a fun little activity.
The walk between the two sections is only about 5 to 10 minutes, so you can choose whichever option you prefer.
