Ko Hana Distillers

Ko Hana Rum is the only premium rum on Oahu made using Hawaiian sugarcane.

It is located in the Kunia area, where sugarcane fields and pineapple plantation farms used to be, and the distillery is still situated in a peaceful place where farmland spreads out!

Manulele Distillers, the company that manufactures the rum, cultivates a total of 34 types of sugarcane, 9 of which are used for rum production.

Actually, rum made by fermenting and distilling only sugarcane juice is very rare, making up only 2-3% of the world’s production.

The process of making Ko Hana Rum, from harvesting the sugarcane to squeezing it into juice, is all done by hand.
