Kapiolani Park is Hawaii’s largest natural park, visited by many people ranging from locals to tourists.
It was once donated by King Kalakaua and is the oldest park in Hawaii, named after his wife, Queen Kapiolani.
It is recognized as a historic site in Hawaii, and you can see a panoramic view of Diamond Head from the endless stretch of lawns!
With fewer crowds and wonderful scenery to enjoy, it is very popular as a place of relaxation for the public.
There are various ways to enjoy the park, such as exercise like yoga classes and jogging, casual picnics, and various events held there, so please visit for a walk.
How to Enjoy Kapiolani Park

Kapiolani Park boasts a massive land area of about 300 acres.
I would like to introduce a few ways to spend time enjoying this vast site away from the crowds!
Take Photos on the Prime Bench
The bench where you can take a picture having Diamond Head all to yourself is very popular!
Sometimes, this is the only spot in the spacious park that turns into a competition. Haha.
If you want to avoid crowds and enjoy shooting slowly, early morning is recommended as it is often empty.
The location of the bench is near the center of the park, near the tennis courts and right in front of Diamond Head.
Get Some Exercise
It is the best environment for exercise, such as yoga lessons held at various times, tennis courts that can be used freely for free, and walking or running in the lush green scenery!
If you move your body while breathing clean air, your daily fatigue will blow away and you will likely be supremely relaxed.
It might be good to work up a pleasant sweat in the natural area closest to Waikiki.
Have a Picnic
Stylish restaurants in Waikiki are nice, but eating in a park with a pleasant breeze is the best.
Take out a plate lunch and bring it to Kapiolani Park!
If you want to spend time more like a local in Hawaii, bringing a BBQ set is also an option.
There are many benches where you can sit and eat, so you can fully enjoy a picnic with a Diamond Head view!
