Halona Beach Cove is a secret beach known as a filming location for numerous movies and TV shows.
The sandy bottom makes it feel like a lazy river, so you can enjoy it safely even when the tide is strong!
On calm days, the water clarity is high, and as an added bonus, you have a very high chance of swimming with sea turtles and fish!
You can jump from the rocks, relax on the beach, and fully soak in the Hawaiian atmosphere.
Please note that the descent to the beach is a bit challenging, and there are no restrooms or showers.
The Secret Cave of Halona Beach Cove

The most distinctive feature of Halona Beach Cove is undoubtedly its secluded atmosphere!
There are few people, and being surrounded by cliffs gives you the feeling of having arrived at a mysterious place.
I think it was used for filming famous movies like “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Jurassic Park” because of the unique flavor this environment provides.
A recommended highlight is the cave called the Lava Tube, which you can see when you get down to the shore!
The view from here feels like you’ve been transported to a deserted, hidden paradise.
By the way, this cave connects to the other side of the cliff if you go deep inside, but the opening becomes so small that only a very slender person could pass through.
It’s located right next to the Halona Blowhole, a classic tourist spot on the East Coast, so be sure to enjoy them together.
