The official name for the area is Haleiwa Alii Beach Park.
This spacious park is bustling with families on weekends, but it’s also famous for hosting the Hawaiian Pro, a world-class surfing competition, during the winter season (around November).
In fact, it’s one of the top surfing spots in the world.
Because of its bay-like geography, the waves aren’t massive, but they have a great shape. The break point, where the waves crash, is close to the shore, allowing you to enjoy a thrilling atmosphere.
