Fresh Catch is an amazing ahi poke shop, easily recognizable by its octopus sign.

It’s a hidden gem with fewer tourists and is very popular among Hawaii locals!

You can create your own poke bowl by looking at the display case, which always has over 15 types of fresh poke, and purchasing just the amount you want.

They also serve plate lunches with meat options, making it a great choice for large groups with different food preferences.

The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous, so it’s perfect for both lunch and dinner!

Fresh Catch’s Poke Bowls

At Fresh Catch, you might have a hard time deciding what to order because they have a wide variety of poke, not just tuna, but also salmon, octopus, and marlin, all with different seasonings, packed into the display case!

When ordering a poke bowl, you first choose your rice: “white rice” or “brown rice.”

Then, you specify the amount of rice you want by the scoop, such as one scoop or two scoops, and they’ll pack it for you.

For the poke, you can either have them add it by eye or specify the exact amount you’d like!

If it’s just for yourself, a quarter pound (about 115g) should be plenty.

By the way, the most popular item at Fresh Catch is the Spicy Ahi, but I personally recommend the Garlic Ahi and Wasabi Ahi as well.

You can choose multiple types of poke for a single bowl, so be sure to try a variety of them.

Fresh Catch’s Plates

They also offer a variety of classic Hawaiian plate lunches, so even if you’re not a fan of raw fish, there’s no need to worry!

Seafood is the main feature, with plenty of options like grilled salmon and ahi katsu, but they also have fried chicken and beef dishes, seafood salads, and party platters.

This means one person can get a poke bowl while another gets a fried chicken plate lunch, for example.

The plate lunches are even more affordable than the poke, making it an budget-friendly option.
